Earn Skywards Miles When Shopping Instore

How do I earn Skywards Miles for shopping with instore participating partner brands?

You can earn Skywards Miles with the participating instore partner brands listed under the Instore section on skywardsmilesmall.com by following the below steps:

  1. Link your payment card – Log in to skywardsmilesmall.com using your Emirates Skywards membership account details and Visit ‘Instore > My Cards’ section. Add your eligible credit or debit payment card details here to link your cards with us. You only need to register an eligible card once and may register more than one card. It may take up to 24 hours for a payment card linked on the site to be fully registered with us. These linked eligible payment cards are solely for the purpose of tracking your qualified purchases with instore participating partner brands to award Skywards Miles and will not be linked to your Emirates Skywards membership account. No payment card details will be shared with Emirates.
  2. Shop at participating stores – Once your eligible payment cards are linked on skywardsmilesmall.com, participating partner brands will be automatically linked to your eligible card. You can then shop at any of the participating partner brands to earn Skywards Miles.
  3. Earn Miles – It may take up to 45 days after you have made your qualified purchase before you see the Skywards Miles earned for your instore purchases to reflect in your Emirates Skywards membership account.

You will be able to link an eligible US-issued credit and debit cards bearing the MasterCard, Visa or American Express symbols. Not all MasterCard, Visa and American Express cards are eligible for registration and exclusions include MasterCard, Visa and American Express Corporate cards, MasterCard, Visa, American Express Purchasing cards, non-reloadable prepaid cards, government-administered prepaid cards (including EBT cards), healthcare (including Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or insurance prepaid cards, Visa Buxx, MasterCard, Visa and American Express-branded cards whose transactions are not processed through the MasterCard, Visa U.S.A payment system and/or American Express payment system which are not eligible to participate. If you have trouble registering your card, please use the Contact-Us form, and someone from our Customer Support Team will be happy to assist you.

Yes, you may link your eligible debit card on skywardsmilesmall.com and use with our instore partner brands to earn Skywards Miles. If you choose to use a debit card, please request at the point of sale (POS) to process your transaction as a ‘credit’ transaction i.e. you use your signature to authorise the transaction and should not use a Personal Identification Number (PIN) when paying for your purchases to be eligible for Skywards Miles.

Not all cards are eligible . Members will only earn Skywards Miles on eligible payment cards issued in the UK/US and linked on skywardsmilesmall.com. Visit ‘Instore > My Cards’ section on skywardsmilesmall.com for more information. Skywards Miles cannot be earned on purchases made with cash or payment vouchers.

We work with Payment Card Networks i.e. AMEX, MasterCard or Visa to track your qualified purchases at participating Partner brands. They are only able to guarantee successful tracking in the US with US Partner brands with a payment card that is issued in the US. This is also the case in the UK. To shop and earn Skywards Miles instore at UK Partner Brands your payment card must be issues in the UK.

Your credit or debit card information is only required if you wish to earn Skyward Miles with our instore partner brands. You only need to do this once and you can add or delete cards at any time. An encrypted and unique identifier is created using your credit or debit card number when you link your eligible cards with us. Using that secure ID, we notify MasterCard, American Express and Visa (via bank-level secure communication) that you have linked your eligible cards. Once you make a qualifying transaction at one of the participating instore partner brands, we are securely notified by one of these card networks. In other words, we use your registered payment cards to track your spend at partner brands to determine whether you are eligible to earn Skywards Miles. This avoids you needing to show a coupon or voucher to the partner brand.

You can only earn Skywards Miles if you have a payment card issued in the US and if you shop with the US-based stores only. United States Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico are not included.

You will never be charged for anything by Skywards Miles @mall. Your transactions using the linked eligible card, made at the participating partner brands, will be tracked so we can award you Miles.

No. You must be an Emirates Skywards member to earn Miles with instore partner brands. Once you log in using your Emirates Skywards membership account details, visit ‘Instore > My Cards’ to link your payment cards before shopping with the instore partner brands. After you link your eligible card, all participating instore partner brands and corresponding offers are automatically linked to your card within 24 hours.

It may take up to 24 hours for a payment card linked on the site to be activated and to automatically link all participating instore partner brands.

The participating instore partner brands and current offers will change from time-to-time and will be available on skywardsmilesmall.com.

We only see transactions made at merchants linked to your card after you’ve shopped. Not all transactions made with your registered card can be tracked. MasterCard, Visa and American Express may be unable to monitor every transaction made with your enrolled card, including PIN-based purchases, purchases you initiate through identification technology that substitutes for a PIN, or payments made through other payment methods (such as a digital wallet or a third party payment app, where you may choose your MasterCard, Visa or American Express card as a funding source but you do not present your card directly to the merchant).

When you buy something from a partner brand, the transaction will appear in your Skywards Miles @mall ’My Purchases’ section as ’Pending’ within 7 working days.

We'll confirm the transaction with the partner brands before updating the transaction status to 'Approved'. Most qualified purchases will be approved within 45 days, but some partner brands may take up to 120 days, and are subject to the partner brands Terms & Conditions.

Once ‘Approved’ Skywards Miles will be posted to your Emirates Skywards membership account within 24 hours.

No. You do not need to present anything at the point of sale. Just swipe or touch and pay using your eligible card linked with us as you normally do. Please note that it takes up to 24 hours for the payment card to be registered in our system once you have linked the card on skywardsmilesmall.com.

Not all transactions with your registered Visa, MasterCard and American Express card are tracked by Visa, MasterCard and American Express. You acknowledge that Visa, MasterCard, and American Express may be unable to monitor every transaction made with your enrolled Visa, MasterCard, or American Express card, including PIN-based purchases, purchases you initiate through identification technology that substitutes for a PIN, payments made through other payment methods (such as a digital wallet or a third party payment app, where you may choose your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express card as a funding source but you do not present your card directly to the merchant), payments of existing balances, balance transfers, or transactions that are not processed or submitted through the Visa U.S.A., MasterCard, and American Express payment systems, and that these transactions are not eligible.

The qualifying amount must be met in a single transaction. For example, if the minimum spend is $10 and you spend $9 on your first transaction with the retailer or restaurant, you will not be eligible to earn Skywards Miles.

It may take up to 7 days for instore partner brand purchases to appear as ‘Pending’ in your ’My Purchases’. It may take up to 45 days for your qualified purchase to appear as ‘Approved’ and to earn Skywards Miles in your Emirates Skywards membership account. No. Only purchases made after you’ve linked your card will count and will earn Miles.

Skywards Miles @mall will clearly outline how many Miles you'll earn. In most cases, this will be expressed as a number of Miles earned per $1 spent at the partner brand.

No, Miles will not be awarded on postage/handling or tax.

No sensitive or identifiable personal information is shared. The partner brand is only able to tell that the member has visited their site via Skywards Miles @mall.

Skywards Miles @mall will not share any personal information about you with our online or instore partner brands. Please note though that when you click a ‘Shop Now’ link to a partner brand, you will leave the Skywards Miles @mall completely and be subject to that partner brand’s Terms & Conditions. If you share your details with a partner brand, they may contact you.

Yes, your personal and payment card details will be safe. Your personal information is kept completely confidential. (You can read our Privacy Policy here).

Your card details will be kept secure and storage of your cards will fully conform to Payment Card Industry (PCI) data standards. We secure your information with the same 128-bit encryption that your bank uses. We have the highest level of compliance to the PCI standard (again, just like your bank) for our communication with MasterCard, American Express and Visa. No. While we'd hate to see you go, you may delete your payment card(s), at any time, from the system via the ‘My Cards’ page

Under Instore > My Cards page on the website, you can add, amend or delete the payment cards that are registered to your account. There is no limit on the number of payment cards you may add at a time.

From time to time partner brands may decide they no longer wish to participate in the Skywards Miles @mall and offer Skywards Miles to members. When this happens, we thank them for participating and remove them from our listings.

At this time, Skywards Miles cannot be used to make purchases through the Skywards Miles @mall. Any Skywards Miles earned through the Skywards Miles @mall will be posted to your Emirates Skywards membership account and can be redeemed for flights and upgrades on Emirates and flydubai, flights with our partner airlines, luxury hotel stays and more.
